After a short break, Mr Monkey returned to the Goddard for the evening entertainment, a performance of Richard the Third in a Nextian style. This means that there was a lot of shouting from the audience, as described in The Eyre Affair. Mr Monkey enjoyed this enormously, and he was a bit disappointed they didn't do the whole play. After the play, there was a fancy dress disco, but Mr Monkey isn't really a disco animal, and his humans were hungry, so he took them round the corner to an Italian restaurant for a meal. And then it was back to the hotel for a drink.
