In a corner of the park, Mr Monkey found the Pavilion Horta. This was designed by Horta in 1899, to house some carvings, the Human Passions, by Jef Lambeaux. These were apparently so passionate that the authorities locked the doors after four days. Beside the Pavilion, Mr Monkey had a good look at the Grand Mosque, which was built in 1897 to house a Panorama of Cairo, left to rot, and then restored as a mosque in 1978.
