Mr Monkey in London, March 3rd

"It looks like we're going in the right direction, then"

Mr Monkey jumped off the train at West Dulwich (which did exist, even if it wasn't on the old map at Victoria), followed a couple of helpful signposts, and arrived safely at Dulwich Picture Gallery. Dulwich College inherited a collection of art that Noel Desenfrans and Sir Louis Bourgeois had built up for the king of Poland, but hadn't been able to send to Poland because it had been invaded and shared out between its neighbours. The College commissioned Sir John Soane to design the first purpose built art gallery in the world.
