Mr Monkey in London, March 4th

"It's a very pleasant and peaceful place"

Mr Monkey in Bunhill Fields Burial Ground Mr Monkey looking at the graves of Blake and Defoe

Mr Monkey followed his route along Bunhill Row and soon reached Bunhill Fields Burial Ground. Mr Monkey scampered around the old Dissenters' burying place. He studied the very simple gravestone of William Blake and the slightly bigger tomb of Daniel Defoe. This white obelisk affair was the result of an 1870 appeal in the Christian World newspaper, which raised contributions from 1700 people.

You can read about Bunhill Fields at the City of London website.
