After he'd experienced the recreated streets of Roman Dewa, Mr Monkey scurried down some steps into the cellars, where the Roman Experience have set up an example of an archeaological site underneath their Roman streets. Mr Monkey examined a large patch of post-Roman 'dark earth' next to a bit of Roman wall. Then he looked down onto an excavation, while Miss Carol pressed buttons to light up different periods of relic. The red light marks Roman remains, the green is medieval, and the yellow card is on top of something post-medieval.
