There were lots of people walking parts of the walls at the same time as Mr Monkey, and most of them seemed to have stopped on the Eastgate. He scampered down some steps, crossed the road, and climbed back on to the walls on the other side. Then he decided he'd go back up to the bridge to have a closer look at the clock, which was put up in 1897 to mark the 60th year of Queen Victoria's reign. While he was there, Mr Monkey had a quick look down on Eastgate Street.
