Mr Monkey at Imperial War Museum North, June 15th

"It's a good bridge, but only low boats can go under it"

Mr Monkey set off along Wharfside Promenade towards the museum. He paused to look at the Trafford Road Bridge. This used to be a swing bridge until Statutory Instrument 1992 No. 1268 allowed the Manchester Ship Canal Company to maintain it as a fixed bridge. Then he had a look at South Bay, the first area to be redeveloped during the regeneration of the Salford Quays.
