Mr Monkey walks York's walls, August 9th

"I think it was that Henry Tudor did it"

Mr Monkey visited the Richard III museum in the upper floors of Monk Bar. He listened to Richard III, who was very popular in York, being cross-examined in an imaginary trial, and played with the medieval portcullis winding mechanism. He was annoyed to find that he couldn't actually drop the portcullis down to block the gate. He cast a vote to say who he thought killed the princes in the tower, and left the museum.

You can read about the museum at the Richard the Third Museum website.
