Mr Monkey scampered across the road from Cliffords Tower to visit the museum of the Royal Dragoon Guards and the Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire to learn all about the history of the regiments. He was interested to see the battle honour Balaklava on some of the cavalry colours, showing that the dragoons took part in the charge of the Heavy Brigade* at Balaclava. And he was envious of the wide selection of hats.
You can read about the museum at the Royal Dragoon Guards Museum website.
* Less famous but far less unnecessary than the charge of the Light Brigade.
