The story that Mr Alison the monk started to tell Mr Monkey was set in 1796 when the French revolutionary government abolished all religous institutions, but there was also a mystery about the death of a younger monk, too. The trail took him out of the abbey and into the organ loft of the Baroque abbey church next door. He really wished he could take pictures inside, but there were rules to stop him.
