Mr Monkey paused to watch the Ice Blast ride, and decided he had no interest at all in being shot 120 feet into the air at 80 miles an hour. When he found out that the Flying Machines, the first ride to be installed in the Pleasure Beach, had been invented by Hiram Maxim, Mr Monkey quickly scampered off. He wasn't sure about anything mechanical constructed by the inventor of the machine gun. And as it was getting dark, he left the park.
