Mr Monkey spent some time watching documentaries made in the north west about life in the north west, made by people such as Ray Gosling and Fred Dibnah. Afterwards Mr Monkey looked at the wide variety of comedy programmes produced in the north west, and was surprised to find that Stephen Fry's TV career began at Granada.
