The first thing Mr Monkey saw in the exhibition was a bronze chiming bell given to Manchester City Council by the Municipal Government of Wuhan. If the bell hadn't been safely behind glass, Mr Monkey would have struck it three times for good luck. Mr Monkey watched a short video filmed in Wuhan, Manchester's Chinese sister city, then went to look at the rest of the exhibition.
