At the other end of the Boom Times, Hard Times gallery Mr Monkey found the hard times section. Seattle was hit hard during the Depression and many unemployed men lived in a shanty town that they called Hooverville*. Mr Monkey examined displays about Hooverville, then went into the Homefront gallery where he saw this picture of a woman war-worker on her way home after a day at the Boeing plant.

* After President Hoover who said that poverty had been eliminated from the USA just before the Wall Street Crash.
