Mr Monkey scampered along to the Boom Times, Hard Times gallery. He started out looking at the boom times, when gold was found in the Klondyke and most American gold seekers had to go through Seattle on their way to the goldfields. This was very profitable for people who stayed in Seattle selling things to people who were going to seek gold. Mr Monkey examined a 1910 stained glass panel from a downtown Seattle store and a display of papers and books about the Yukon.
