Mr Monkey visits the Seattle Underground, 2nd February

"I suppose they wanted to stay out of the rain"

Mr Monkey was back underground again for the last stretch of the tour. Even after the sidewalks had been installed some people kept on using the lower level streets, which got a bit of light through glass panels in the street above. There was even a bank, with a cage for the teller. All this was abandoned after an outbreak of plague in 1907 and the underground streets were sealed up until Bill Speidel opened them up again in the sixties. By the time Mr Monkey had learned that, the tour finished and he was back at Doc Maynard's.
