Mr Monkey in the Valley Gardens, 21st July

"You do wonder if there's a triffid lurking in there"

Mr Monkey trotted along a path called the Elgar Walk. This was the favourite walk of Edward Elgar who paid annual visits to Harrogate between the wars, staying at the Crown Hotel. The Elgar Walk wasn't called the Elgar Walk when Elgar was around to walk along it, of course. As he strolled along the walk, Mr Monkey was impressed by the size of some of the plants.
