On level 1 Mr Monkey visited the Changing Lives gallery. This told him about Stockport in the twentieth century, from the first world war up to more or less the present day. Mr Monkey was most impressed by the stained glass made in 1908 to celebrate 100 years of the Stockport Sunday school, and by the recreation of a modern kitchen of the early 1960s.
