After Mr Monkey had gone upstairs and downstairs in Fairfax House, and had seen the library, the dining room, the kitchen, two bedrooms, the drawing room and the saloon, he scurried along the street a little to get a good view of the front of the house. Looking away from Fairfax House, he noticed he was just across the road from Clifford's Tower. He didn't need to go across for a closer look, because he'd visited the Tower in 2006 when he was last in York.
