Mr Monkey in York Minster, 25th February

"You can tell he's an emperor by the way he's lolling in his seat"

Mr Monkey left the Chapter House and trotted across to the south transept again. This time he leant back and admired the roof bosses. Only six of the originals survived the 1984 fire. Then Mr Monkey toured the Undercroft and Treasury, where photography isn't allowed, and went out of the south door to look at the statue of Constantine outside. Constantine was in York in when he was declared Emperor of Rome.
