Before popping into his hotel Mr Monkey looked at St. Pancras parish church. When it was built in 1819 it was the most expensive church in London since St. Pauls Cathedral. Mr Monkey was particularly impressed by the caryatids holding the roof up, even though they do look a little glum. Around the corner, on Flaxman Terrace, he admired Flaxman Lodge which was built for the Vestry of St. Pancras in 1908.
You can read about the church at the St Pancras parish church website.
