In the evening Mr Monkey scampered along to the British Museum to see their exhibition The American Scene : Prints from Hopper to Pollock. Looking around the exhibition, Mr Monkey decided he preferred the realistic pictures from the 1930s such as these by Martin Lewis and Howard Cook. After he'd visited the exhibition he went downstairs into a lecture room in the basement where he watched Raoul Walsh's silent film, Regeneration, with a real pianist playing live piano music.
You can read about the exhibition at the British Museum website.
