Mr Monkey visits the Roman Baths, 2nd June

"I'm staying safely away from that water"

The Romans found out quite quickly that the spring they'd built their baths around produced more water than they needed, so they added a drain to take excess water away to the river Avon. Mr Monkey inspected the drain and the arched tunnel from the spring, and admired the orange colour of the stonework. He had to be careful because there was a lot of water, and a lot of steam.
