Mr Monkey visits Bristol Cathedral, 4th June

"That's beautiful glass, that is"

Mr Monkey looking down the south aisle Mr Monkey looking stained glass in the cloister

Mr Monkey looked down the south aisle of the nave, admiring the spandrels that allowed the roof to soar 52 feet above him. He scampered down a short flight of steps beside the south transept to the remains of the abbey cloister. Only the eastern section of the cloister survived the Dissolution, and has been glazed with a mixture of medieval glass and modern work depicting important figures in the abbey's history.
