Mr Monkey visits Prague Castle, 11th June

"It's only simple compared to the Cathedral, really"

Past the Cathedral and the Old Royal Palace Mr Monkey found St George's Square, originally the main square of the Castle. At the end of the square he spotted the red 17th century facade of St George's Basilica and trotted in. The church was founded in 925, and was rebuilt after being damaged during a siege in 1142. Mr Monkey was interested in the comparatively plain walls and the simple wooden ceiling.
