Mr Monkey aboard HMS Victory, 29th August

"You've got to keep your shot somewhere, I suppose"

Mr Monkey scampered through the hold, where barrels of water and other provisions were kept on a bed of shingle. Because the full supply of ammunition weighed 120 tons it was kept at the bottom of the ship in a series of shot lockers. Mr Monkey scampered up back to the orlop and looked around the after cockpit. In battle this area was used as an emergency operating theatre. Mr Monkey saw the spot where Nelson died, but he wasn't allowed to take a picture of it.
