Mr Monkey's humans were feeling hungry, so they bought George Washington cake, cheese cookies and a snickerdoodle at the cafe and went to eat on the terrace outside. Mr Monkey defended the food from a friendly crow. When his humans were fed, Mr Monkey admired the valley below Claverton Manor and examined a slightly worn armillary sphere which was standing idly on a plinth on the lawn.
You can read about crows at the RSPB website and about armillary spheres at the University of Cambridge Department of History and Philosophy of Science website.
