Back on the Clifton side of the bridge Mr Monkey stood on the traffic island to look at the rather uninspiring modern tollbooths and to watch cars crossing the bridge. Trotting down Sion Hill Mr Monkey stopped at a little observation platform, so that he could admire the illuminated bridge from afar. He was particularly impressed by the way they've remembered to illuminate the supporting abutments. Then he scampered through the streets of Bristol and back to his hotel.
