Mr Monkey left the Museum Gardens by the Marygate exit, went down to the Ouse then trotted along to the Scarborough Bridge, whcih carries the railway lines out to the coast. Crossing the river by the pedestrian part of the bridge he got a good view of Lendal Bridge. Moments later he was in the dark of the tunnel that takes Leeman Road underneath the railway lines to the north of York station.
