Mr Monkey tours the Stockport Plaza Cinema, 14th February 2011

"It's a night of traditional cinematic entertainment, you know"

Mr Monkey looked at the posters outside to check that he'd come to see the right film on the right day, then went in. He scampered upstairs into the circle and after testing several seats sat down on the front row of the balcony. Peeking over the balcony Mr Monkey got a good view of the organ, which was being played to entertain the audience before the film. When the organ had sunk down to its resting place, Mr Monkey watched a Laurel and Hardy short, The Fixer Uppers, then watched Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. When it finished, Mr Monkey stood for the national anthem and found out that he could leave the Plaza by a side door opening onto the steps beside the cinema.
