According to Mr Monkey's 1849 map the Atlas Iron Works went all the way from Lock 89 to Oxford Street, so back then the other side of the canal would have looked a lot more industrial and wouldn't have had space for huts for waterfowl. Mr Monkey trotted along the towpath towards Oxford Street.
