When Mr Monkey got to the Royal Academy to see the TURKS exhibition, there was already a fairly long queue. But Mr Monkey had been on the internet, and had tickets waiting for him inside so he just scampered right on in, and up the stairs, to see artefacts representing a thousand years of Turkish history, from 600 to 1600*.
*Hence the subtitle of the exhibition : A Journey of a Thousand Years 600-1600.
