On his way back to the station, Mr Monkey paused to watch an open top bus tour go by. He wasn't quite sure it was suited to some of Stratford's narrower roads. Across the road he saw the American Fountain. This was put up for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee by George Childs of Philadelphia, who obviously felt that there wasn't enough water or Gothic decoration in Stratford.
