Mr Monkey at the Musée Royal de l'Armée

"It's a very large collection, you know"

Trotting back indoors, Mr Monkey found himself in the World War One hall. There's a wide collection of artillery pieces, and examples of the major tanks used in the Great War. Mr Monkey studied the Renault FT17 tank, notable for being the first tank to have a revolving turret. Beside it is a British Medium Mark A tank, known as a Whippet because it could race at speeds up to 8 mph.

You can read about the FT-17 at the Landships website.
