The museum includes the history of the bank from its foundation in 1850, but also includes rooms about the history of money, inflation, the Euro and how financial transactions work. The central hall, which is full of currency through history, appears to be built over a staircase. They've left the bannisters and a statue in place, so perhaps they expect to use the staircase again someday. In the corridor on the other side, Mr Monkey was taken with a display charting the spending power of the average Belgian through the ages.
