Mr Monkey decided that the difficulty of climbing the stairs was worth the effort, as there were fine views from the walkway on top of the tower. The west end of the island looks all peaceful and undisturbed now, but was covered in barracks during the wars. To the east, he looked down on the harbour, but got distracted by the weather vane on top of the roof of the warming house, which appeared to be some sort of Celtic boat.
