Mr Monkey looked down onto the roof of the dormitories on the upper level of the cloister, and on the pointy roof of the warming house (apparently the only place the monks were allowed to be warm in winter). Then he looked down onto the flat bit that used to be the new church, decided it was getting too cold and windy, and high time to leave the tower.
