Mr Monkey visits Inchcolm Abbey

"I'd have the centre seat, but only if there was a cushion"

Back on the ground, Mr Monkey ran around the cloister in the middle of the abbey. Off the cloister, he found the chapter house, the meeting and business place of the monks, beneath the upper floor warming room. Mr Monkey thought the chapter house could be a stand-alone building, if it hadn't been stuck onto the cloister. He was impressed by the arches over the seats for the three most important monks - the abbot, prior and sub-prior.
