Mr Monkey saw that he could get to the North Tower by running along the east curtain wall. This was originally far thinner, but after the 1537 modifications was 5 metres thick. This made it very well protected against artillery, but makes it difficult for a young monkey to see over, so Mr Monkey had to study the South and Central Towers.
