"He did a nice railway, even if his engines wouldn't pull anything"

To remind everyone that the Great Western Railway was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the museum has a model of Brunel wearing his top hat. Mr Monkey considered running off with the hat, but thought better of it, and studied the replica North Star locomotive. The original was one of the engines that ran on the early, broad gauge, Great Western, though it was built as a standard gauge locomotive. The GWR bought it from Robert Stephenson's company, when it turned out that Brunel's locomotive designs wouldn't actually be able to pull trains.
