Mr Monkey at Imperial War Museum North, June 15th

"They were very ugly tanks, anyway"

Mr Monkey scampered past the Harrier into the main area of the museum. He found a pair of guns from the First World War. One was an 13-pounder field gun of the Royal Horse Artillery which, on August 22nd 1914, fired the British Army's first shell of the war. The second gun was a 57mm cannon which should have been in a German A7V tank but wasn't, probably because most of them got broken during or since the war.
