Mr Monkey visits Knaresborough Castle, July 20th

Walking round the edge of the castle grounds, where the curtain walls used to be, Mr Monkey looked down onto the River Nidd, the railway viaduct, and bits of Knaresborough. He could see why the Normans had chosen such a dominating site for the original castle.
