In the middle of the castle there was a medieval chapel, which became a courthouse when they gave it a second floor in the 1600s. Now it's a museum, and Mr Monkey scampered around learning about the history of Knaresborough and examining the original court furniture. He wasn't allowed to take pictures, though. Then he left the courthouse, had a last look along the west side of the castle towards the King's Tower, and set off into town. He did get invited back, though...
