Waiting for his next tram, Mr Monkey spent the time looking at an interesting pair of hotels, Le Peniche and the Normandie. When these were built, during the 1930s, trans-atlantic liners were all the rage and the owners decided it'd be a good idea if their new hotels looked like ships. Mr Monkey wondered how long it would take to get to America in the Normandie hotel; the ship could get to New York in 4 days, give or take a few minutes.
