Mr Monkey in the Domein Raversijde, August 27th

"It's not six badly hidden people wearing helmets, then?"

Mr Monkey passed the Aachen battery's second observation post, which had a brick anti-aircraft position built on its roof when the Germans reoccupied the battery in the Second World War. Military regulations apparently required the crew to leave their helmets in a neat row when they weren't shooting at passing aircraft. Then Mr Monkey scurried into one of the covered tunnels shielding the entrances to supply, toilet and hospital bunkers built in the 1940s.
