Just beyond the entrance to the Ketelvaart Mr Monkey spotted a statue of a woman about to dive into the river from a balcony. A moment later, the guide pointed out that there was a male statue about to dive off a rooftop on the opposite bank. Apparently the two statues are sometimes known as Romeo and Juliet, though they have no connection except being owned by people living on opposite banks of the Leie. Mr Monkey suspected that they'd come to grief if they ever actually dived.
