Mr Monkey strolled along the walkway, examining all the displays about Tower Bridge. While he did this, he was 110 feet above the road and 139 feet above Mean High Water. Most Victorians preferred to watch the ships while waiting for the bridge to close rather than climb up to the walkways, and they were only really popular with people who wanted to jump off the bridge. After 16 years the walkways were closed, but now they're open again, only with lots of glazing.
