Mr Monkey visits Seafront Zeebrugge, 17th September

"They were very pleased, you can tell"

In 1895 the people of Bruges were extremely pleased to find out that their plan had won. Mr Monkey read newspapers proclaiming their victory, and examined pictures showing the construction of the port. He was impressed to find out that they used a 462 tonne crane, Titan, which was the biggest crane in the world at the time. When the port was finished the people of Bruges held a celebratory festival, with attractive posters.
