Mr Monkey turned into the north transept, which turned out to be the best place in the Minster to find out the time. The Hindley clock has 16th century figures of the giants Gog and Magog beneath it, while the astronomical clock is a memorial to Allied aircrew based in Yorkshire and the North East who died in World War Two. One face shows the position of the sun relative to the Minster, the other shows the position of the stars aircrew used for navigation.
