At the end of the north transept Mr Monkey found the Chapter House, which is used for meetings of the College of Canons. Edward I and Edward II held parliament here when they were fighting the Scots. Mr Monkey admired the floor tiles, which were put in during a restoration in 1845. The patterns are based on the tracery in the windows.
